123 Sing!
1st, 2nd, 3rd October
2010
If you sing you'll know that
it makes you happy, relaxed, confident, inspired and full of energy. If
you don't, now's your chance to find out.
Whether you sing or want to sing
Whether you can sing already or want to learn
Whether you sing in the shower or in a choir
Whether you are a professional or an amateur
Whether you are a child or an adult
Whether you prefer Abba, Bach, or Coldplay - this is for you!
If you would like to be part
of something really special that aims to inspire more people to sing
whilst raising money for music education projects for the most
disadvantaged children and adults across the UK, all you need to do is?
Remember: 123sing! - on 1st, 2nd and 3rd October - the biggest
celebration of singing ever. A national singing weekend to celebrate
singing, inspire thousands more people to get involved in singing and
raise money for music education projects. There will be three radio
broadcasts over the weekend where everyone will be invited to tune in and
sing along with people all around the UK.
Organized by Classic FM and Making Music, with generous support from Sing
Up, Youth Music and all the major national singing organisations.
So, please save the date and spread the word by telling all of your
friends, family and colleagues.
It's time for everyone to come together and sing.
15th May 2010- From
shy beginnings more than a year ago, ACC has grown into a confident,
enthusiastic choir with a weekly attendance of more than fifty members.
Above all things we are a community minded group who love the opportunity
of performing in the local area. Recently we entertained a small audience
at Alvechurch Library. We thought you might like to see our photographs!
ACC AT ALVECHURCH LIBRARY
Come and join us, you would
be made very welcome.
28th April 2010-
ACC's Musical Director, Mike Genders, celebrated his 50th birthday last
Sunday. As part of those celebrations ACC surprised him by devoting poetry
and song in his honour.
The piece of poetry was read
out by Mary Green, who is a member of the ACC working group. Mary is also
a member of Withybed Green Poetry Group who meet regularly in the locale.
If you would like to go along to one of their meetings, their next one is
scheduled for Wednesday 26th May 2010. It will be at The Crown, Withybed
Green at 7:30pm. Anyone is welcome.

14th
March 2010 - was the day we held a special event
at Our Lady of Mt Carmel First School,
Webheath, Redditch to raise funds for our ongoing project. The school hall

of £952.41 was raised through ticket, raffle and soft
drink sales. Our thanks to everyone who supported the event, with extra
special thanks to those of you who came along to help set up the hall, to
Lillian for devoting her time, to Lynn Edwards for all the organization
and to Tony Tamburra for allowing us to use the school facilities.
