MIKE 'Mr G' GENDERS
is our
musical Director and usually Chairs the meetings.
Mike is responsible for
choosing the songs we sing and developing our general repertoire.

NEIL & ROSEMARY GENDERS
otherwise known as Mr & Mrs 'G' senior. Neil is the proud father of
our Musical Director and also Treasurer for ACC/ELS. Rosemary is described
by Mike as "my step-mother - she's wicked" which makes her the wicked
stepmother! She also looks after the refreshment needs at choir practices,
making sure of supplies and enough hot water to serve up the drinks as
quickly as possible.

MARY GREEN
"I am retired and have been with the choir since it started. Recently I
have begun to take over the secretarial role. I love singing and am
delighted to be with such a varied and enthusiastic group of people. I
have also enjoyed working with a small group at The Lawns residential
home. I admire the work being done by ELS in schools, and think as a
group we can contribute a lot to the life of our area – and have fun."

DAVE MAXTED
"I have been in the choir since 2009. I am pleased to be a Committee
Member and to have a practical role within the choir. I help ensure we
have the correct words both onscreen and in written format as well as
helping with the projection. I also ensure that the seating is properly
organized, with sufficient in each section: soprano, alto, tenor & bass.
I like most of the music we sing, but have a 60's and Gospel style bias.
I am impressed by the 'community' and 'family' aspects of both ACC and
ELS." |

HILARY BOYCE "I have been a member of the choir for two years (since
2009) having previously never sung in an organised group before. It
really is a joy to sing with such a wonderful, friendly group of people
and never fails to send me home feeling happy. We welcome new members of
all abilities to just come along and have some fun." |

LINDA SMITH
joined the core working group to support Mike and Co in what is
obviously a successful venture. "The choir is a wonderful opportunity to
join together to share the pleasure of singing whatever your ability. An
added bonus is joining in with other groups to give performances
benefiting all. Although I have no specific job in the working group I
feel I represent the view of the ordinary member of the choir and am
always available and approachable if members want subjects brought up for
discussion." |
